职场口语:办公室常用品英语表达
我们每天都要到打交道的办公室里的常用物品，如文具、家具、设备之类的，都用英语怎么表达呢？西雅图工作英语的专家们，通过对上百位各行各业的白领进行调查发现：有60％的白领不清楚如何用英语准确表达自己身边的物品。而这些单词都是工作英语里的必备词汇，是外企白领必须掌握的。所以，我们就总结出办公室里的常用物品的英文单词，而且分成文具类、家具类和设备及配件类，还配有相应的英语对话，方便大家理解和使用。记不住的朋友们可以把它当成小词典，以后用到时查阅就可以了。
一、文具类
1. Paper clips 纸夹，长尾夹
A: Do you have paper clips? 我有纸夹吗？
B: Maggie may have some. Check with her. 麦琪可能有几个，问问她。
2. Papers 纸张
A: Why do we always run out of copy papers? 我们的打印纸怎么总用光啊？
B: ' Cause we have limited on how much we can use. 因为我们限制用纸了。
3.Envelope 信封
A:Hello! This is supply. What can I do for you? 你好，这是总务处，您有什么事？
B: Hi, this is Amy from HR. I need a box of envelope and two boxes of company letterhead. 嗨，我是人事部的艾米，我想要一盒信封和两盒公司信笺。
4. Folder 文件夹
A: How do you arrange your documents for each project? 你怎样保存每个项目的文件？
B: I put them in separate folders. 我把它们放在不同的文件夹里。
5.Binder 活页夹
A: May I have a couple of blinders? 给我几个活页夹好吗？
B: Sure. I will get you a few. 当然可以，我给你找几个。
6.Stapler 订书器
A: My stapler is not working. 我的订书器坏了。
B: Yours is the cheap stuff, take mine. 你的是便宜的那种，用我的。
7.Sticky note 可粘贴留言条，易事贴
A: Did you leave a sticky note for Steve? 你给史蒂夫写留言条了吗？
B: I did. I put it on her computer screen. 是的，我粘在她的电脑显示屏上了。
8.Tape 磁带，胶带
A: Do you have tape? 你有胶带吗？
B: Yes, take it. I have another one. 有，拿去吧，我还有一个。
二、办公家具类
1.Drawer 抽屉
A: Where did you put your U-disk? 你把U盘放在哪了？
B: In the first drawer on the left. 左侧第一个抽屉。
2.Filing cabinet文件柜
A: Where should I put this contract? 这份合同要放到哪里啊？
B: You can put it in the drawer “C” of the Filing cabinet. 你可以把它放到文件柜标着“C”的抽屉里。
3.Computer Seat电脑椅
A: Cindy, this is your working area from now on. Please keep it clean. 辛迪，从现在开始你就在这里办公了，要保持卫生啊。
B: No problem, Hanson. Woo, the computer seat is so cool! 汉森，没问题。哦，这电脑椅还挺有派的啊！
三、设备及配件类
1. Answering machine 电话应答机
A:I found that the ansering machine is not popularin China. 我发现在中国，电话应答机不是很流行。
B:Right. Most of us do not have it in the office. 是的，我们大部分人都没在办公室里安装。
2.Notebook 笔记本
A: Do you have a notebook? 你有笔记本吗？
B: You mean the notebook computer or the real notebook. 你是说笔记本电脑还是真的笔记本？
A: Who uses notebook any more? I'm referring to the computer. 现在谁还用笔记本啊，我是说电脑？
B: OK. Unfortunately I don't have a notebook computer. 哦，很遗憾，我没有笔记本电脑。
3. LAN cable/line 网线
A: I stay in the same cubical with June, but we have only one LAN line. 我和朱恩在一个格子间，可我们只有一根网线。
B: I'll call IT to get another one for you. 我会给信息部打电话，让他们再给你装一根。
4. Battery 电池
A: My phone is not showing caller IDs. 我的电话没有来电显示了。
B: The batteries are probably dead. 可能是电池没电了。
5.Computer disk 计算机磁盘
A: Can I have a computer disk? 我能要些计算机磁盘吗？
B: We don't have any floppy disks any more. I have only CDs. 我们这不再用软盘了，我只有CD。
6.Printer cartridge 打印机硒鼓
A: The printer cartridge needs to be changed. 打印机的硒鼓得换了。
B: Can you do it? 你能换吗？
7. Projector 投影仪
A: Cindy, could you find a projector for me ? 辛迪，你能帮我找个投影仪吗？
B: No problem.没问题。
8.Fax machine传真机
A: The fax machine is not going well these days.这两天传真机不太好用啊。
B: I called the engineer yesterday and he will come this afternoon.我昨天給工程师打电话了，他今天下午就过来修。
